In 2004, when I joined the EOI community as a teacher (before that I was a teacher in secondary), I decided to create a site devoted to lifelong language learning, so I designed Talking People. It is a big project, which I neglected from 2008 to 2011 because I volunteered my free time to the development of the EOI Getafe website! Hopefully, this year I’ll have more free time to keep developing TP. This website includes:
The Talking People Podcast - with over 20,000 subscribers since the end of 2007. With poems, stories, Useful Language to listen to and repeat, and more. It’s not organized by levels, but over here you will find a selection of the episodes which are good for Básico students: Talking People – In Class – Básico 1 (this year we’ll be using this blog, but in the past, I used to use this little webpage)
The Talking People Forums (public) – where you can also interact!
Clarifying: Just for my Avanzado 2 students:
The TP eCampus is only for my Avanzado 2 students, OK? It’s true they also have an extra blog for Projects: Michelle’s Projects for English Learners!
Well, you see, the reason why I created this blog is because Talking People is best for Intermediate and Advanced students, really. You are “too young” for all that world! But you are welcome to browse the site and use its materials, of course!

This’s a great website! Congratulations.
Thanks! It’s kind of chaotic, but it’s got very good materials, I think!
Not for Elementary students, though, except the podcast episodes. The rest is mostly for Intermediate and Advanced level students, and lifelong learners, too!
