I am going to list here the monologues and dialogues we work on in class. In spring, we will select which will be mandatory in the Final Exam. Here is last year’s Speaking Test list: June & September 2010-11 Speaking Test: Final Speaking Test Evaluation Sheet (1 pdf page). Your copy will be similar.
UNIT 1
Dialogue D1 (or I1): your first tdialogue, “Nice to meet you” and “Can you spell your name”.
Monologue 1.6: The Numbers 1-20 + spelling them – Listen to the Numbers 1-20 (video) – More numbers
Monologue 1.9: The Days of the Week + spelling them – Listen to the Days of the Week

Dialogue: Interview 1.19 and 1.20 (the most important dialogue in this unit)
Dialogues 1.35 and 1.37 (Practical English)

UNIT 2
Monologues: MTB (1-4) on p. 16, 2.15 (describing a photo with loved ones) or M2 (describing your photo). Remember that the Writing for Unit 2 is good inspiration for the End-of-course monologue for Unit 1!
Dialogues: 2.4 (and 2.5), and the interview on p. 19, which we will call I2. Plus, 2.17 and 2.18 (the dialogues of Practical English)

Remember to listen carefully to 3.2! And do 3.3, too, we forgot!!!

Don’t worry! Yes! I’ll be recording the monolog(ue) for Unit 4 next week, I think. And then, two of my old students, will come here one day to help me record a few dialogues!
